French I & II

The purpose of French I & II is to learn to speak with a controlled vocabulary and to familiarize the students with the French culture.  By the end of the first year, students should understand spoken French, read materials within their vocabulary level, write grammatically correct sentences and have acquired sensitivity to the French speaking world.

French I & II are available to 7th & 8th grade students for yearlong course enrollment. Grades earned count toward cumulative high school GPA.

French III & IV

The purpose of French III & IV is to develop greater proficiency in speaking and understanding French.  Students will do much more speaking, reading, writing, and grammar.  They will converse formally and informally in French.

French III & IV will be available to 8th grade students for yearlong course enrollment in the 2017-2018 school year provided they have successfully completed French I & II. Grades earned count toward cumulative high school GPA.
