Students who meet all three of the following qualifications are eligible for consideration into National Honor Society during the second semester of each school year.
- Any member of the Sophomore, Junior, or Senior class,
- who has earned a GPA of 3.30 or better,
- and has attended WHS at least one semester.
To be considered for acceptance, qualified candidates must complete and file a student activity form with the National Honor Society faculty adviser. Once the filing deadline has passed, faculty input is sought on all student candidates. Following the collection of faculty input, a review of each candidate’s character, leadership, and service to the community is conducted and selection is completed by a five member faculty council.
Membership may be revoked if the student consistently falls below a 3.30 in subsequent semesters or abruptly terminated for gross misconduct.
